I’ll review five free spelling and grammar checker websites and extensions that you can use without having to pay for a premium service. You can also get Grammarly for free here: https://grammarly.go2cloud.org/SH2cp (affiliate link). I’ll test each tool with the same text full of English errors, and compare them to see which is the best and corrects the most mistakes. Having excellent English spelling and punctuation is extremely important if you want to become a transcriptionist or captioner and these tools will help you.

They are also useful if you work as a proofreader or translator or even if you are applying to a job and writing a resume or cover letter in English.
